Believe it or not, a human resource professional that works in a small, medium, or large Corporation can learn a lot from politics. For instance take Barack Obama for instance. The voters elected him because of his speaking ability, as he really didn’t have any credentials, or any experience in executive leadership. Indeed, he was only a Junior Senator when he decided to run for president. The only reason he was taken seriously, was because he was a good speaker.

Now, everyone is having a change of heart, and Obama’s approval ratings are below 50% and headed lower. Indeed, if we apply what happened in the choosing of the American President as a case study for human resource students, we can show the insanity, and poor choices of the American voter. We can also use this as an example of what not to do when choosing corporate leadership in hiring. Indeed, I hope you will please consider all this.
