It’s a simple, step by step introduction to using the Enterprise JavaBeans technology, explaining both its background and how to use it develop real-world applications. While much of the content was informative, this book was poorly organized, and left many key points out of the development process that made it very difficult to get the examples to function.

This book is the first devoted exclusively to helping front-line developers implement application components with Enterprise JavaBeans technology. It turned out that this book taught me much less than I learned from the EJB Spec itself, which is more clear, logical and rigorous.
